Hi, we’re John & Sheila.

After losing our beloved dog Loma of nearly 10 years, we realized how much we missed the joy and companionship animals bring. Caring for pets started as something we did for family and friends, but it quickly became clear that it was more than a hobby- it was a calling. With both of us coming from families that always had dogs and cats, creating a pet sitting service felt like a natural way to continue filling our home with the love of animals while offering reliable care to others.

We’ve known each other for over 30 years and been married for 11, and over the years we’ve built a strong foundation as a couple. Without children of our own, we’ve found that caring for pets brings a special kind of joy and fulfillment to our lives. Every dog and cat we look after is treated like family, and we take pride in providing a safe, loving environment where pets can feel comfortable and happy while their owners are away. You can have peace of mind knowing that your pets are cared for with the same love, attention, and dependability that we would give our own.

Thanks for taking a moment to get to know us- we’d love the chance to meet your furry family and share the love they bring. Wheather it’s a wagging tale or a gentle purr, we look forward to filling our home with their happiness while you’re away.

We can’t wait to welcome them to The Dawg House: You best friends second favorite place.

“Sheila and John have cared for our cats and home several times while we’ve been traveling overseas, and we couldn’t be happier with them. We have 5 cats that range in age from 1-12 years old with 2 of them requiring daily meds. Sheila and John handle every situation with such attentiveness and care, really going beyond our expectations. Knowing they’re in our home gives us tremendous peace of mind, and we always return to happy, well-cared for cats and tidy home. Their thoughtful photo and video updates while we’re away mean the world to us. We feel so fortunate to have found them and recommend them wholeheartedly!”
